The Concert Choir is an SATB ensemble that performs sacred and secular works from all periods of music history. The Choir presents one major concert each semester, collaborating frequently with the Georgetown University Orchestra, campus ensembles, and guest artists. Open by audition to students, faculty, staff, and members of the University community.
The Chamber Singers is a select group of mixed voices organized to perform small choral masterworks from the Renaissance through the twenty-first century. Emphasis is placed on the art of a cappella singing, with repertoire from Josquin and Palestrina to Poulenc and contemporary composers. The ensemble performs on campus, at venues across D.C., and on tour.
The Georgetown University Choir celebrates the joy of singing, cultivates musical excellence, and fosters community through the transformative power of choral music on the Hilltop and beyond.
